Membership Terms & Conditions

1. Membership

1.1 Eligibility

• RNC is a mixed-gender 18+ netball club. 
• Minors are accepted under the supervision of a parent/guardian
• Membership applications must be submitted through the official registration form.
• RNC reserves the right to accept or decline applications.

1.2 Duration

Membership is valid per season and renews automatically unless cancelled according to Section 1.3.

1.3 Cancellation

Cancellation must be submitted in writing via email or message. 

To avoid charges for the upcoming season, cancellation must occur before the new season begins.

Membership fees already paid are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed by the committee.

2. Fees & Payments

2.1 Obligations

Members must pay the club fees set annually by the committee.

Payments must be made within the communicated deadlines.

2.2 Non-payment

If a member fails to pay fees, RNC may:

suspend participation in training sessions, matches, or competitions;

charge administrative fees;

terminate the membership registration if necessary.

3. Participation in Training, Matches & Events

3.1 Participation at your own risk

Members participate in all RNC activities entirely at their own risk.

3.2 Liability

Rotterdam Netball Club is not liable for:

• injuries, accidents, or medical complications;
• loss, theft, or damage to personal property;
• any direct or indirect damages arising during club activities.

3.3 Behaviour & conduct

Members must:

• behave respectfully toward teammates, opponents, volunteers, officials, and coaching staff;
• follow instructions from coaches and committee members;
• comply with all rules of the sports facility.
• Misconduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or removal from the club.

4. Use of Photos & Media

Photos and videos may be taken at trainings, matches, and events.

These may be used for RNC’s website, social media, and promotional materials.

Members may withdraw consent at any time by emailing the club.

5. Privacy & Data Protection

RNC processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

6. Member Responsibilities

Members are responsible for:

• keeping their contact information up to date;
• maintaining appropriate health and/or sports insurance;
• wearing suitable sports clothing and indoor shoes during training;
• informing coaches of relevant medical conditions if they choose to disclose them.

7. Changes, Cancellations & Force Majeure

RNC is not responsible for training cancellations or schedule changes caused by:

• facility closure or unavailability;
• illness or absence of coaching staff;
• severe weather;
• government restrictions or force majeure situations.
• Training times, fees, or membership conditions may be adjusted when necessary. Members will be informed as soon as possible.

8. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law.
Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the competent court in the Netherlands.

9. Acceptance of Terms

By registering as a member of Rotterdam Netball Club, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions. The most recent version will always be available on our website.
